Business Blog on Semantic Web Goes to Twice Weekly
February 3, 2010
If you’re reading this, I value the time you have taken to come to our site and learn. If you explore a bit, you’ll see there’s a lot going on, and we have much more to do. This site is being built and maintained by volunteers. We have a team of four now, and we hope to add several more bright, committed people in the next few months.
Because the book is new and the site is new, our goal is to increase our rankings in the search engines, and that means we are taking SEO seriously. And you can help. Our number one goal is to get more inbound links to both ThePowerOfPull.com and WhatIsTheSemanticWeb.com. Do you have a blog? Do you know someone who does? Our goal is to find people who are talking about the semantic web, business strategy, and the future of technology and ask them to link to us. Please let us know if there is anyone who might find it worthwhile to link to us.
Now that I’ve been blogging here for about a month, I would love to get your feedback. Am I covering topics of interest? What would you like to see? What would you not like to see? I’m trying to be fairly original in my content – I don’t think you’ll hear these opinions and explanations anywhere else. I try to put a lot of value into each post. Would you prefer shorter posts more often? Please look at several of my past blog entries and tell me how I’m doing in the comments for this entry.
If you have signed up for RSS or email blogs, are you getting them? How do they look?
Is the site confusing? Have you explored the Foundations and Domains sections? What suggestions do you have?
I’ve been blogging three times a week, but for now I’m going to post new entries just on Mondays and Thursdays.
We need all the help we can get. You should volunteer to help us because you’ll learn a lot in the process and it will look good on your resume. I also hope to get consulting work, and I hope to offer my volunteers consulting positions once that gets going. But the main thing is that the intersection between business strategy and the semantic web is a very cool place to be and it will be naturally rewarding in ways you may not be able to predict. We are here to catalyze the semantic web and make a difference. Join us.
